{"id":3580,"date":"2010-12-09T06:44:58","date_gmt":"2010-12-09T10:44:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eachdayisacelebration.com\/?p=3580"},"modified":"2010-12-11T01:03:24","modified_gmt":"2010-12-11T05:03:24","slug":"paradise-lost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eachdayisacelebration.com\/?p=3580","title":{"rendered":"Paradise Lost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is the birthday of John Milton (1608-1674), and in his honor I post the closing lines of his masterpiece <em>Paradise Lost<\/em>, along with a drawing by my daughter from our homeschooling Old Testament block several years ago.\u00a0It\u2019s not exactly a match, but I couldn\u2019t resist.<\/p>\n<p>Her drawing belies the solemnity of the poem.
