Don\u2019t try<br \/>\nproving your love<br \/>\nis bigger than the Grand<br \/>\nCanyon, the Milky Way,<br \/>\nthe urban sprawl of L.A.<br \/>\nTake it for granted. Take it<br \/>\nout with the garbage. Bring<br \/>\nit in with the takeout. Take<br \/>\nit for a walk with the dog.<br \/>\nWake it every day, say,<br \/>\n\u201cGood morning.\u201d Then<br \/>\nmake the coffee. Warm<br \/>\nthe cups. Don\u2019t expect much<br \/>\nof the day. Be glad when<br \/>\nyou make it back to bed.<br \/>\nBe glad he threw out that<br \/>\nbox of old hats. Be glad<br \/>\nshe leaves her shoes<br \/>\nin the hall. Snow will<br \/>\ncome. Spring will show up.<br \/>\nSummer will be humid.<br \/>\nThe leaves will fall<br \/>\nin the fall. That\u2019s more<br \/>\nthan you need. We can<br \/>\nlove anybody, even<br \/>\neverybody.
