July is the season of botanical abundance, in the garden, in the fields, and along the roadside. My daughter chose these wildflowers for our botany drawing today.

I don’t know what these flowers are called (where is the Prince of Binomial Nomenclature when you need him?) but I have loved them since I was a child for their delicacy and soft pink colour. Living downtown in a big city, I see cultivated flowers, but rarely see wild flowers. I feel the loss.
