Great Cartoon, Sheila. Back when I taught freshman comp at a couple of community colleges, one of my favorite asignments was to take a political cartoon, explain the situation from the news and explain the cartoon. Yours would be a great cartoon for these kids to analyze, especially since so many were foreign born (:-)

What a terrific exercise, on so many levels. I’d like to see it given in high school as well.
